Artist in the House - Happiness is Made to be Shared

You absolutely must click on the images to see the detailed painting on these. I can tell you the photos don't do it justice. IRL is soooooooo much better. My daughter's friend, an artist name Martin Bashir-Nasim, (I'm sorry I only have this short-version Facebook page to link to) painted this surfboard for her. This was all done freehand. It is absolutely beautiful. From one artist to another, I was in awe of the details and the beauty. It's 1-of-a-kind 4sure. I told her she can't surf with it now. She has to get a different board to surf on. All I can say is WOW! He has more creativity in his little finger than I will ever have.

Full Board
Top close-up
See the "Tree House" ?
HOLY CUTENESS - See the little path and the daisy's and the toadstools

A little closer... there was so much detail on this board...
I didn't know which detail to snap first.
I just wanted to keep taking pictures.
But I had to stop myself.

Of course there are waves to be found

...and sealife, Holy Angel Fish Batman!Moving down to the bottom of the board see the King Crab?
My daughter Zodiac sign is Cancer the Crab.
How personalized and thoughtful is that!!

To Be...

To be
all that is
possible
we must
attempt the
impossible.
to be all
that we
can be
we must
dream of
being more.
~unknown~

I just picked up my first set of Tim Holtz stamps. It's a clear acrylic set called "Visual Arts" from Stampers Anonymous. I got it at Michael's with my 50% off coupon. S.C.O.R.E. You should know by now I'm a big "quote" freak. Ha! the word quote in ""'s. There's got to be a word for when someone does that? Overstate? Whatever. I love PMA stuff. It makes me happy. That's Positive Mental Attitude for those of you who don't know.

This is the upright view

This is the flat view so you can see the sentiment better

A little blurry close-up.
Items of note: I used an click--->eyelet from
PinkHedgie's Crafts
to affix the little Bee tag.
click--->Ribbon is also from her
fabulouso eStore!

This is my PinkHedgie Crafts Eyelet collection. Yep she carries all of "the" colors. I stocked up on all of them. Even some of the "in" color ones. She even carries really cute little containers. Not this one shown here. I already had this storage system at the time but her cute little containers are really worth it.

ORGANIZATION TIP ALERT!!! Close-up of my eyelet collection, look closely

...even closer

I use Stampin' Ups Clear Labels to mark my generic purchases, (I use them for the corresponding Copic Markers). Hedgies eyelets were matched so closely you can't even tell the difference. So if you want to stock up for less its a great place to get all of the colors.

What do you want to be? Sometimes we are so busy DOing that we need to be reminded to just BE: be strong, be real, be happy...the list can go on and on...but just BE YOU! This 5x7" album will not only be filled with lots of the paper engineering ideas you love but will be a place for the reminders you need to just BE. Maybe you know someone who needs this reminder as a encouraging gift. There's a girl who's going on from high school or college who needs the encouragement to follow her heart. Maybe a friend needs encouragement as she goes through a difficult time. Maybe that someone is you!

I plan to make this album as a treasury of the statements of affirmation
and reminders I say to myself regularly and hope to pass on to others.
We'll be using the new Girl Friday collection from Cosmo Cricket, along with products from American Crafts, Scenic Route, Maya Road, Prima, Creative Imaginations, Bazzill Basics, Tim Holtz, My Mind's Eye, and more.
This kit is packed with goodies!

Supplies to bring to class: paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, black journaling marker, Crop A Dile, scoring tool, tape runner adhesive, liquid glue to adhere fabric (I used Ranger Glossy Accents), scissors that will cut fabric, sanding block or sand paper, scallop scissors, cutting mat, craft knife, stapler, favorite border punch(I used Fiskars Apron Lace punch). Optional: Distress Ink Shabby Shutters inkpad, scallop scissors for fabric.

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 4th of July. There is a really cool site to check out to read about the history of Independence Day.
Smiley from millan.net Fun Fact: The first Independence Day was in 1776.

----->Click and it will take you to our Government's Exhibit Archives. It's actually a pretty impressive website. Why not enjoy some of our tax dollar$ at work for a change? They even have these images for download and or printing. Nice

I also want to give a special shout out to my nephew's John and Andrew. They are both serving our country in the Armed Services. John is in Kuwait. Sorry Andrew I don't have a picture of you. Here's one of John. I think he looks so tough. We're proud of you John and Andrew.

He's single ladies (Can you believe it?)

THANK YOU JOHN!
